shadwblitz wants to alert you before grave things might go out of hand: making someone a mod is really dangerous, if a bad person could become a mod for a single day, he would be able to lock/delete/alter standard members' topics; which would mean a great disaster, and a great hassle for the authority to fix it.

It's just his opinion, though. You might be able to trust the people here...so it's your decision, not shadwblitz's.
